Former Danaher Finance Executive Brings More Than Two Decades of Financial
Experience
NEWTON, Iowa, July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Maytag Corporation
(NYSE: MYG) today announced that George C. Moore has been appointed Executive
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for the company. Moore, 48, joins
Maytag from the Danaher Corporation, where he has held several top financial
positions since 1993.

Moore's appointment is effective immediately. He succeeds Steven H. Wood,
who has left the company to pursue other opportunities.

Moore has served as Group Vice President of Finance for Danaher since 2000
with responsibility for financial operations of 12 independent business units.
Danaher is a leading manufacturer of Process/Environmental Controls and Tools
and Components.
He has also held the position of Group Financial Officer for Danaher
Tools, Tool Products, Safety & Aviation and Automotive since 1997. Earlier,
Moore served as President and Chief Financial Officer for Yield House and has
a decade of auditing experience with Arthur Andersen beginning in 1977.
Moore, a CPA, obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting from Loyola
College in Baltimore, Maryland.
