MILPITAS, Calif., July 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sipex Corporation
(Nasdaq: SIPX) today announced the SP6260, an LDO designed to power RF
systems. The device uses a simple innovative circuit eliminating the need
for the reference bypass capacitor normally required for low output noise
performance in applications such as mobile phones and portable
instrumentation.
The SP6260 produces a minimal output noise of 30uVm (10kHz-100kHz), and
without the need of the reference bypass capacitor, minimizes the board
space required for the LDO. With a dropout voltage of 150mV @ 100mA, a
shutdown current of 0.1uA, and a quiescent current of only 25uA, the SP6260
maximizes battery life.
Additionally, the device features an excellent 70dB power supply
rejection ratio (PSRR) which provides isolation from noise generated from
within the application and is available in fixed output voltages from 1.5v
to 3.3v.
Pricing and availability
Offered in a small SOT23-5 package and specified over a -40 degrees C
to +125 degrees C junction temperature range, the SP6260 is lead-free and
RoHS compliant. It is priced at $0.25 each in quantities of 1,000 units.
