will be the focus of an international conference as leaders from around the
world learn how the island nation's healthcare system could be transformed
into an innovative model for the European Union to follow. Affiliated

of healthcare and information technology while showcasing practical
applications.
Four recognized experts in healthcare and information technology will
present the program in the context of Malta's needs and its opportunities
for progressive healthcare leadership in the European Union. The forum,
entitled Quality, Value, and the Future of Healthcare in Malta: A Model for
the European Union, will take place July 10, 2008 at the Hilton Malta in
Portomaso, St. Julians, Malta.
The speakers will review key trends that offer opportunities for Malta,
with special focus on the relationship between medical science and
technology to achieve the policy objectives of a national health system.
They will provide practical lessons from programs that reduced costs and
