MIAMI, July 10 /PRNewswire/ -- 3Com Corporation will showcase its complete
suite of security solutions throughout the three-day Strategic Conference on
Financial Technology and Marketing, being organized by FIBA (Florida
International Bankers Association) and FELABAN (Federation of Latin American
Bankers Association), in Miami, on August 26 to 28, 2002.
3Com will be one of more than 30 companies exhibiting products and
integrated technology solutions for the financial industry. In addition to
its security solutions, 3Com will also showcase its networked telephony and
wireless networking solutions which enable powerful, business-critical
applications such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Interactive
Voice Response (IVR), key components in successful customer retention.
"The penetration of technology has changed business practices and, at the
same time, opened up the door to potential security breaches. As more and more
critical business information is stored and shared among employees, and
companies forge alliances that require sharing of information with business
partners, they find themselves at greater risk of losing valuable confidential
information. This is especially true for financial organizations," stated
Rafael Fernandez, vice president of 3Com Latin America. "3Com has developed
products that address these issues by providing protection against internal
and external security breaches."
"Bankers from the more than 600 FELABAN members throughout Latin America
as well as from Florida who are part of the Florida International Bankers
Association (FIBA), or the Florida Bankers Association (FBA), including
community banks, will attend," said Pat Roth, Executive Director of FIBA, and
added, "The goal of conference is to provide banks with an integrated vision
of the strategy, technology and marketing elements needed to achieve customer
loyalty and satisfaction, as well as bank profitability."
In addition to 3Com, speakers include Bradesco (Brazil), ABN AMRO Bank,
Citibank, Internet Security Systems, Diebold, Onbase, and IBM. The consulting
industry will be represented by Accenture, McKinsey & Co., TowerGroup, and
IDC. Agenda topics will encompass data security, business continuity,
wireless technology, imaging, CRM, knowledge management and multi-channel
technology.
