Brooks Automation Launches New Offerings in Global Customer Support at SEMICON West

     Introduces "A New Pathway to Productivity" for worldwide customers

    CHELMSFORD, Mass., July 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Brooks Automation,
Inc. (Nasdaq: BRKS), which develops and produces hardware, software and
systems for the semiconductor and other complex manufacturing industries,
today announced improved support capabilities and a broad range of services
offerings for customers to meet requirements for around-the-clock global
support from its Global Customer Support (GCS) organization. Starting with
GUTS(R) (Guaranteed Up-Time Support), a commitment to have a plan to action
in 59 minutes or less, Brooks now offers expanded international repair
capabilities to include a newly expanded repair center in Chelmsford Mass,
a newly opened repair center in Jena, Germany and a newly enhanced repair
facility in Korea; all including enhanced spares capabilities to improve
turnaround time. The GCS division of Brooks will feature its world class
customer support offerings and discuss its new focus and commitment to
customer satisfaction at the Brooks booth (#716) at SEMICON West, in San
Francisco from July 11-13, 2006.
    Turbo Pump TrueBlue(R) Service Agreements
    TrueBlue Service Agreements are customizable to meet a customer's
price, performance and productivity. Brooks is able to reduce the total
cost of ownership through relationship based support. The TrueBlue service
portfolio is now expanding to include services for Turbo pump systems. The
services include a turbo pump placement program, an inventory management
program and a downtime commitment program, all geared toward reducing
unscheduled downtime.
    Front-end Alignment and Calibration Services
    Expanding on the TrueBlue portfolio, Brooks is offering TrueBlue
Service agreements for Front-end Alignment and Calibration services. These
service agreements utilize Brooks' alignment and calibration tools to
eliminate subjectivity and inconsistencies from tool calibration and reduce
unscheduled downtime due to misalignment of loadports, robots and stations.
    Polycold(R) TrueBlue Service Agreements
    Polycold TrueBlue Service Agreements reduce unscheduled downtime with
proactive replacements of PFC systems and by utilizing regular on-site
maintenance services to provide optimal performance and proactive detection
of potential issues before the cause downtime.
    Polycold Fixed Price Repair
    Fixed Price Repair provides pre-set repair levels and fixed pricing at
reduced cycle times based on the level of repair you require. The Polycold
Fixed Price Repair services include refrigerant service, insulation service
and refurbishment services. These services speed both the quotation and
order-entry process, which reduces lead-time and expedites delivery of
repaired equipment.
    Tool Automation Fixed Price Repair
    Brooks Fixed Price Repair programs for the tool automation family of
products have been added to the Global Customer Support service portfolio.
These programs include functional repair, enhanced preventative maintenance
repair and refurbishment. These services reduce lead-times and expedite the
delivery of your repaired tool automation equipment.
    AMHS Focus
    Brooks is also focusing efforts on the Automated Material Handling
system by adding a dedicated engineering group within GCS as well as
expanding the TrueBlue Service offerings to include AMHS support.
