Northern Light Adds to Executive Management Team

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Northern Light, the tiny little
search engine company in Cambridge, announces the addition of Robert Nelson,
Patrick O'Malley, and Igor Razboff to its executive management team.  Mr.
Nelson joins as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development responsible for
developing sales opportunities and new lines of business.  Mr. O'Malley joins
as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the SinglePoint division,
responsible for overall management and operations of the custom enterprise
search solution business.  Mr. Razboff joins as Senior Vice President of
Applications Engineering, responsible for the implementation of custom search
solutions for enterprise clients.

    Mr. Nelson joined the predecessor organization, Northern Light Technology
Corporation, as it's 2nd employee in 1996, as Senior Vice President of Content
Development and remained though its acquisition by another software firm in
2002.  Mr. Nelson has more than 20 years of experience licensing content from
the publishing industry for electronic distribution.  At the predecessor
Northern Light, Mr. Nelson was responsible for content strategy and licensing
activities of over 7,000 publications, news sources, and market intelligence
titles for Northern Light's premium content database.   Prior to joining the
predecessor Northern Light, Mr. Nelson served as Director of Product
Development for EBSCO Publishing where he negotiated and licensed the
electronic rights to over 2,000 titles, managed the payment of royalties, and
was responsible for all publisher relationships.  Mr. Nelson served as
President of Wilson -- Cambridge, a division of the H.W. Wilson Company where
he was responsible for the development of Wilson's first electronic
abstracting products.  Mr. Nelson was co-founder of LaserData, the first
company to develop and demonstrate technology for commercial database
publishing on electronic media.  Additionally, Mr. Nelson served as President
of MSH, an international subscription agency serving libraries.  Mr. Nelson
has a bachelor's degree in international relations from Clark University, an
MBA from Clark University, and a master's degree in library science from
Simmons College.
    Mr. O'Malley joined the predecessor Northern Light Technology Corporation
as Vice President of Operations in 2000 and remained with the company through
its acquisition in 2002.   While at the predecessor Northern Light, Mr.
O'Malley managed the operation of it's $30,000,000 computer infrastructure.
Mr. O'Malley's team of 25 system administrators, programmers, systems
analysts, network engineers, and operators ensured that all of Northern
Light's public search sites and customer implementations maintained excellent
search response, with uptime statistics of 99.999%.  Prior to joining the
predecessor Northern Light, Mr. O'Malley operated a consulting group providing
training services to a variety of clients, including IBM and others.  Mr.
O'Malley was Director of Information Services at Thomson Financial,
responsible for managing system support specialists and help desk personnel,
and managing the operating system issues for the more than 90 VMS Compaq/DEC
servers, 50 UNIX servers, and 100 Windows NT servers in the data center.
Additionally, Mr. O'Malley spent 12 years at Digital Equipment Corporation,
where he held a number of training positions.  Mr. O'Malley has a bachelor's
degree in management from the University of Massachusetts.
    Mr. Razboff is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and has been a U.S.
citizen and permanent resident for over 20 years. Mr. Razboff has had an
extensive career as a software development and senior management executive.
He served as the CEO of Animation Magic, where he created and managed a 180-
person product development staff.  He was Vice President of Software, then
CEO, of Capital Multimedia, a public U.S. software company that acquired
Animation Magic.  At Capital Multimedia, Mr. Razboff was able to reduce
development costs by 65% and cut the cycle time on new product development by
50%, which lead to a doubling of revenue for the company.  While serving as a
Vice President of Cendant Software, a $900 million division of Cendant, Mr.
Razboff tripled the productivity of the development operation, increasing
revenues by 35% in one year.  Mr. Razboff has served as Chairman of Celerity
Solutions, a public U.S. software company in the supply chain management
industry, and Chairman of Equanex Corporation, a provider of e-commerce Web
sites.  In 1990, Mr. Razboff founded Scoros International, a software
development organization that establishes and operates programming facilities
in St. Petersburg, Russia.  Since its founding, Scoros has executed over 75
software development projects in Russia, involving anywhere from a dozen to
several hundred employees.  Early in his career, Mr. Razboff was a Product
Manager for AT&T, and the Director of Computer Aided Manufacturing for
ComputerVision and Prime Computer.  He has a master's degree in computer
science and a PhD in mathematics from the University of St. Petersburg.
