- Office of Diversity executives will attend and represent BellSouth -
ATLANTA, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- BellSouth (NYSE: BLS) announced today
it will feature live Internet broadcasts of key speeches and other events
from the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People)
2006 convention on July 16-20. This is the ninth consecutive year BellSouth
has Webcast the convention.
Video and audio feeds, as well as a photo gallery of speakers and
events surrounding the convention, will be available by accessing
BellSouth's site, http://www.bellsouth.com or accessing the NAACP site at
http://www.naacpwebcast.com during the convention. Archived, on-demand video
access of speeches and the photo gallery will be available following the
broadcasts.

The 2006 convention themed: "Valuing Our Votes, Voting Our Values" will
be held in Washington, D.C. and bring together NAACP members and supporters
from across the nation to receive new information about fighting
discrimination, and building economic wealth. The convention will also host
seminars, with adult and youth workshops offering current tips and trends
from a variety of business industry leaders.
On July 17, during the convention, NAACP leaders are expected to
announce the findings of its annual Economic Reciprocity Report Card,
announce the companies on the list, and their respective scores as
determined by the NAACP's criteria. For the past several years, BellSouth
has been ranked as the nation's top or one of the top telecommunications
companies on the list.
