SOUTHAMPTON, Pa., July 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Environmental
Tectonics Corporation (Amex: ETC) ("ETC" or the "Company") today announced
that it will unveil its revolutionary aerospace training and research
center at the Farnborough International Airshow on July 17-23, 2006. The
National Aerospace Training and Research (NASTAR) Center is a turn-key
facility that advances commercial and government training and research
capabilities for all types of human space flight, as well as defense and
civil aviation.
The first NASTAR Center will "take off" in January 2007 near
Philadelphia, PA. ETC plans to open NASTAR Centers around the globe in the
next few years. "The NASTAR Center is our flagship product," said William
F. Mitchell, ETC's President and Chairman. "It is designed to deliver
state-of-the-art aerospace training and an economical alternative to the
increasingly limited defense and civil aviation training and research
opportunities. The NASTAR Centers will also lead training and research in
the new arena of private space travel."
At the hub of the NASTAR Center's extensive and unique capabilities is
an Authentic Tactical Flight Simulator, the ATFS-400, an advanced human
centrifuge which realistically replicates, with real-time G-force feedback,
the flight profile of many aircraft, including an F18 or an A380, as well
as private space launch vehicles. As several customers have commented, "It
comes as close as possible to flying the real thing."
The ETC team at the Farnborough International Airshow will be located
in Hall 2, Booth B35 to demonstrate ETC products and services and answer
any questions.
ETC designs, develops, installs and maintains aircrew training systems,
public entertainment systems, process simulation systems (sterilization and
environmental), clinical hyperbaric systems, environmental testing and
simulation systems, and related products for domestic and international
customers.
