Pratt & Whitney Wins US$40 Million PW4000 Engine Order from CIT Aerospace

    FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW --
CIT Aerospace, one of the world's leading aircraft leasing organizations,
has selected Pratt & Whitney PW4000-100" engines to power its new Airbus
A330-200 aircraft. The contract is valued at more than US$40 million at
list prices with engine deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2009. Pratt &
Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

    CIT's portfolio includes several additional Airbus and Boeing aircraft
powered by Pratt & Whitney engines.

    The PW4000-100" engine with Advantage technology will bring improved
environmental and economic performance for the A330 family of aircraft. The
Advantage technology upgrade delivers enhanced engine performance, lower
fuel consumption, increased durability and reduced maintenance costs.
