Hamilton Sundstrand to Supply Solid State Power Controllers for A350 XWB Electric Power Distribution System

    FARNBOROUGH AIR SHOW, FARNBOROUGH, England, July 14
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hamilton Sundstrand, a subsidiary of United
Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), has been selected by ECE, a Zodiac company,
to provide Solid State Power Controllers (SSPCs) for the Airbus A350 XWB
Electric Power Distribution System.

    Slated to enter service in 2013, the A350 XWB is Airbus' newest
aircraft model, accommodating between 270 and 350 passengers in three basic
versions.

    Hamilton Sundstrand will supply more than 64 SSPC modules, in as many
as eight different types, for each aircraft. The module's design enables
the aircraft to be configured to specific airline customer requirements.
Hamilton Sundstrand estimates total program power module revenues of
approximately $1 billion.

Airbus program."

    The power modules will be designed in Nordlingen, Germany and Rockford,
Ill., and manufactured in Nordlingen.

    In February 2008, Hamilton Sundstrand announced its selection by Airbus
to provide the A350 XWB Electric Power Generation System.
