ANDERSON, Ind., July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Delco Remy International, Inc., is
pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Hart as Treasurer of the Company,
effective August 1, 2004. Hart will assume the duties of Treasurer from David
Stoll, who has announced his retirement, also effective August 1. Stoll
served as Vice President, Controller and Secretary from the Company's
inception and was elected Treasurer in 2000. Hart joined the Finance team in
1997 and was promoted to Assistant Treasurer in 2002.

Commenting on the appointment, Raj Shah Executive Vice President and Chief
