WEST CHESTER, Ohio, July 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- AK Steel (NYSE:
AKS) said today that it will increase spot market prices for its carbon
steel products by $50 per ton effective with new orders scheduled for
delivery on September 1, 2008 and later. AK Steel said that the price
increase is in response to increasing global demand for carbon steel
products, as well as the need to recover increases in steelmaking inputs.
