Leading Technology-Enabled Selling Software Now Available in Kanji Language
ATLANTA, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Strengthening its position as a global
provider of pharmaceutical sales force automation (SFA) systems, Sales
Technologies/Walsh, a unit of IMS HEALTH (NYSE: RX), today announced that
Cornerstone(TM), one of Sales Technologies/Walsh's leading products, is now
available in the Kanji language. With this version, named Cornerstone K,
Japanese organizations will have access to the most technically advanced,
flexible and reliable SFA solution currently available to pharmaceutical
companies.
With Cornerstone K, Sales Technologies/Walsh has developed a fully
translatable product, enabling Japanese organizations to take advantage of the
product's inherent functionality to define, create and manage an
enterprise-wide system in the Kanji language. The new version is double-byte
enabled to support languages such as Japanese Kanji. Additionally, through
Cornerstone's configuration layer, the product is localized to address unique
Japanese country-specific business processes.
In order to guarantee the quality of Cornerstone K, the product recently
completed Sales Technologies/Walsh's gold certification testing process to
ensure that the product appropriately addresses regional and cultural
differences. This quality assurance process is standard at Sales
Technologies/Walsh to ensure that all products are ready for customer
deployment.
The Cornerstone K release coincides with recent announcements issued by
Sales Technologies/Walsh and its parent company, IMS HEALTH, of their
strategic initiatives in the Japanese pharmaceutical marketplace. The
Cornerstone K version is enabled for all IMS HEALTH data, including the latest
next-generation market data collection and reporting service that delivers
pharmaceutical market information to its Japan clients on a weekly, rather
than monthly, basis.
"We believe that by building on a solid product foundation, we can further
expand into new markets with a quality product that is flexible enough to
accommodate various market differences," said John Lax, vice president of
development for Cornerstone. "We recognize that as the global provider of the
leading-edge sales automation system, we have an obligation to meet the unique
demands of pharmaceutical markets worldwide."
