BELLAIRE, Texas, July 16 /PRNewswire/ -- West Texas LPG Pipeline, L.P.
announced today that it plans to expand the West Texas LPG pipeline system
into Mont Belvieu, Texas. West Texas LPG Pipeline is a common carrier
natural gas liquids pipeline operated by Chevron Pipe Line Company. Chevron
owns 80 percent interest in West Texas LPG Pipeline, and Buckeye Partners,
L.P. owns the remaining 20 percent interest.
West Texas LPG Pipeline is expanding the system due to increased growth
in liquids production in the Fort Worth Basin. Plans include expanding the
system by a minimum of 25,000 barrels per day from Weatherford Station into
Mont Belvieu with the construction of 39 miles of 12-inch pipeline,
hydrostatic testing and three booster stations. This new capacity is
expected to be operational in the third quarter of 2008. Additional booster
stations may be added between these points, based on market conditions, to
bring the capacity increase to 45,000 barrels per day.
