SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Takumi Technology
Corporation, the leader in system solutions for design-for-manufacturing
(DFM) and unique provider of software products for GDSII layout repair and
yield enhancement, today announced that Takumi Technology's flagship
product, Takumi Enhance, was selected as a winner in the Technology
Innovation Showcase (TIS) at SEMICON West 2007. The company also announced
that Tom Wong, Vice President of Marketing, will make a presentation on
"Physical Layout Optimization for Yield Enhancement" at TechXPOT during
SEMICON WEST 2007.
TIS is an open product competition highlighting innovations that can
have significant impact on the micro- and nano-electronics industries. A
jury of industry experts selects winners based on a product's technical
merit and potential for commercialization.
Takumi Enhance improves silicon yield by enhancing physical layouts to
make them litho friendlier, more OPC-compliant, and less sensitive to
process variations. This is the first product of its kind to take advantage
of foundry specific manufacturing information and yield model to
automatically perform physical layout manipulation to deal with
sub-wavelength effects. Design rules are enforced as a constraint such that
all enhanced layouts are design rule compliant and correct by construction.
