RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Pacer Technology
(Nasdaq: PTCH), owner of such branded consumer products as Super Glue, ZAP(R),
PRO SEAL(R), Cook Bates(R), Diamond Deb(R)/Kurlash(R) and Gem(R), today
announced the appointment of W. Thomas Nightingale as the new President and
Chief Executive Officer and Roger R. Vanderlaan as Chief Operating Officer.
    Nightingale has held management positions at the Company for the past
21 years, most recently as interim Chief Executive Officer.  Prior to that,
Nightingale served as Vice President of Marketing and Vice President of
Manufacturing.  Mr. Nightingale holds Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Economics
and Psychology with a Minor in Business Administration from the University of
Washington.  Nightingale is also a member of the 1999 MBA class of the
Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of La Verne.

    New Chief Operating Officer
    Mr. Vanderlaan has been with Pacer since March of 1999 serving as a
Director of Operations.  He was instrumental in transitioning Pacer through
the management reorganization that took place in April of this year.  Roger
comes to Pacer from the Sherwin Williams Company where he was Operations
Manager of Sherwin Williams Consumer Group.  There, he had
responsibilities for manufacturing, distribution, sales, and R & D.  Prior to
Sherwin Williams, Roger worked for the Clorox Company in a variety of
capacities including Plant Manager, Industrial Operations Specialist and
Packaging Engineering.  He currently serves as President of a consumer
products trade association where he has been a director for seven years.  Mr.
Vanderlaan received a Bachelors of Science Degree from Michigan State
University.
