SAN JOSE, Calif., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Geometrix Inc., a leading

the Internet, today announced the official launch of a new Creative Services
Department specializing in interactive 3D content creation services. The
service will provide complete, ready-to-use Internet content for
manufacturers, e-commerce sites, interactive agencies, and Internet content
creators of all types.
Geometrix is known for its development of 3Scan(TM), the world's first
3D-capture system that generates ready-to-use, fully textured 3D object models
in minutes, regardless of object complexity. By leveraging its history of
developing 3Scan and other cutting edge 3D-capture technology, Geometrix has
developed advanced workflows that acquire the physical world as interactive 3D
media content.

Pulse makes the Internet a more realistic experience through their
authoring tools and plug-ins for Web content. Geometrix is currently working
with clients such as 3dfx Interactive to deliver 3D content in Pulse format
for the Web. In the case of 3dfx, Geometrix is creating content which will
show users how to install a Voodoo5 for Macintosh board into a G4.

The two companies will work together to bring Immersion's TouchSense(TM)
technology to the Web, allowing users to experience "touch" sensations when
interacting with their computers. Geometrix will work directly with Immersion
and Hypercosm to produce TouchSense enabled objects for Web applications.
Some examples of these applications can be seen at the Geometrix booth at
SIGGRAPH 2000. In addition, Immersion has become the exclusive marketer of
professional 3D object digitizing tools powered by Geometrix technology, with
an initial product available from Immersion known as LightScribe 3D.
