Appointment Marks Confidence in Juniper as Growth Driver for Barclays
WILMINGTON, Del., July 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Juniper Bank (http://www.juniper.com),
a member of Barclays Group, today announced the appointment of Richard Sommers
as Chief Financial Officer for Juniper Bank. Sommers, who has been CFO for
Barclaycard for the past four years, brings with him 27 years of banking
experience and a lifelong career at Barclays.

Sommers was appointed CFO (aka Finance Director) for Barclaycard in 2001.
Prior to that, he held CFO positions in its global retail financial services
