ATLANTA, July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- W. James Host, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Host Communications, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of
Bull Run Corporation (Nasdaq: BULL), and a member of Bull Run's board of
directors, is one of eight honorees who will be inducted into the Kentucky
Athletic Hall of Fame in Louisville on September 11.
As a member of the Class of 2000, Host will join other long-time Kentucky
sports greats who are already members, including Muhammad Ali, Harold "Pee
Wee" Reese, Jim Bunning, Eddie Arcaro, Adolph Rupp, Paul Hornung, Paul "Bear"
Bryant, Wallace Clayton "Wah Wah" Jones, Mary T. Meagher, Woody Stephens,
Valerie Still and Darrell Waltrip.
Host received the first baseball scholarship ever awarded by the
University of Kentucky, where he graduated in 1961. His company, which began
as Jim Host & Associates in 1972 in Lexington, Kentucky, was renamed Host
Communications, Inc. in 1982 and ranked this year as one of the world's top
five sports marketing companies by SportsBusiness Journal. Today, the company
remains headquartered in Lexington, with more than 500 employees located in 23
offices around the world.
