    SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- 3Dlabs(R), Inc. (Nasdaq: TDDD)
today announced that its Oxygen(R) GVX210, Oxygen GVX1 and Oxygen VX1
accelerators are the first 3D hardware accelerators certified for use with
SOFTIMAGE|XSI under Softimage's new Hardware Certification Testing program,
enabling Softimage customers to choose from a wide range of high-performance
Oxygen boards with assured performance, functionality and quality.  3Dlabs and
Softimage are together providing hardware and software technology
demonstrations on the 3Dlabs (#3029) and SOFTIMAGE (#837) booths at SIGGRAPH
exposition in New Orleans, July 25-27, 2000.

to be certified on the newly launched Softimage Hardware Certification Testing
program (HCT).  Both 3Dlabs and Softimage focus heavily on providing
high-quality acceleration for Softimage customers with high visual fidelity
and stable, crash-free operation.  The HCT program aggressively enforces these
high standards of quality so that Softimage can confidently recommend cards
that provide the required functionality and performance to optimally support
Softimage's sophisticated authoring environment.  These certifications cover
SOFTIMAGE|XSI running on Oxygen boards both on Windows NT and Windows 2000.
