ATLANTA, July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Preferred Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: PFNT)
(PNI), a leading outsourcing services provider to the wireless industry,
announced that Gary Park, formerly Vice President of Sales, has been named
President of PNI's Network Services Division. Mr. Park has 25 years of
experience in wireless services. Before joining PNI in 1996, he served as
vice president for Mtel/SkyTel from 1992 to 1996. Prior to his employment
with Mtel, he worked for GTE/Sprint as vice president and general manager.
Mark H. Dunaway, Chief Executive Officer of PNI, announced the appointment
of Gary Park as President of this division, stating that, "With the expansion
of Mr. Park's role, we have created a dedicated Network Services Division
within our organizational structure which currently serves over 1,500
companies. Mr. Park has a proven track record with PNI. He was responsible
for the successful refocus of our sales efforts during 1997 toward supporting
large wireless companies, which now includes network service contracts with
ten of the twenty largest paging companies in the industry."
Michael J. Saner, President of PNI, added, "As President of our Network
Services Division, Mr. Park joins our two other business unit heads, Randall
Johnson, President of PNI's engineering services subsidiary, Preferred
Technical Services, Inc. ('PTS'), and David Lopez, Jr., CEO of PNI's product
services subsidiary, EPS Wireless, Inc. ('EPS'). I am extremely excited about
the strength of the management of each of our three business units and expect
that the focus and expertise that these three individuals bring will enable
PNI to build upon its position as a leading provider of multiple outsourcing
services to wireless companies."
