MIAMI, March 24 /PRNewswire/ -- AMR Services' Miami cargo subsidiary, CFS,
has been selected by Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) to provide cargo handling at
Miami International Airport. CFS will also provide cargo handling at Miami
for Swissair, CityBird and Aeroflot, which are currently handled by Delta.
The two-year contract began March 15.
"We already depend on AMR Services for support at three other U.S.
airports and are pleased with the level of service they provide," said Marc
McKinnies, Delta's regional director of Cargo Sales and Service. "Our
existing relationship with AMR Services gave us the confidence to award this
important contract."
AMR Services also provides Delta with into-plane fueling services at
Jackson, Miss., and Raleigh/Durham, N.C., and interline baggage handling at
Los Angeles International Airport. There will be 32 employees supporting the
Delta contract at Miami International Airport.
