announced the availability of Rational ClearQuest MultiSite(R), an optional
add-on solution for Rational ClearQuest(R) and Rational Suite(TM) that
supports synchronized defect and change tracking across geographically
distributed sites.
Rational ClearQuest MultiSite streamlines communication by allowing
geographically distributed teams to work through automated, error-free and
safe replication and synchronization of defect and change tracking data --
regardless of team size, member location or development platform.
Based on the architecture and proven technology of Rational ClearCase
MultiSite, Rational ClearQuest MultiSite allows a site administrator to create
replicas and configure a synchronization schedule. Aside from new fields
related to the MultiSite capabilities, Rational ClearQuest's user interface is
unchanged. Using Rational MultiSite optional add-on solutions for Rational
ClearQuest and Rational ClearCase(R) provides a complete, distributed change
management solution that includes support for Unified Change Management (UCM),
Rational's process for managing change across the development lifecycle.

providing users with the full power of the Rational ClearQuest native Windows
and UNIX interfaces.
Pricing and Availability
Rational ClearQuest MultiSite is immediately available. The following
list prices are in effect in the United States as of July 20, 2001, and are in
U.S. dollars: $3,295 for a floating license of Rational ClearQuest; $1,295 for
a node-locked license of Rational ClearQuest; $995 for a floating license of
Rational ClearQuest MultiSite; $395 for a node-locked license of Rational
ClearQuest MultiSite.
