Rational Teams with IBM to Provide Customers
Software Configuration Management Solution
DENVER, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Rational User Conference --
Rational Software (Nasdaq: RATL), the e-development company(TM) and the
market-leader in Software Configuration Management (SCM) solutions, today
announced that Rational ClearCase(R) LT OEM will be integrated with the IBM
WebSphere* Business Integrator v2.1. This represents the first IBM product to
be integrated with Rational ClearCase LT as an SCM solution.
The IBM WebSphere Business Integrator is an offering that can support an
end-to-end e-business process management system. It can help companies
integrate new Web services-based applications into their existing flow of
business processes, even in situations where the applications supporting those
processes reside outside of the organization. IBM WebSphere Business
Integrator can enable customers to create, execute and manage processes, such
as supply chain management, that span diverse applications, enterprises, and
people in a single offering.
The use of Rational ClearCase LT with the IBM WebSphere Business
Integrator can benefit customers by helping to provide seamless access to the
change management solution from Rational. With Rational ClearCase LT as part
of WebSphere Business Integrator, customers should be able to reliably version
and store artifacts in a common repository for their WebSphere Business
Integrator development applications. This also can provide customers with a
clear and straightforward upgrade path to full-function Rational ClearCase as
their team development environments grow.
