Edens & Avant Promotes Keith Davidson to Vice President of Investments

    COLUMBIA, S.C., July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Edens & Avant, the nation's
largest private owner of grocery-anchored Necessity Retail(R) Centers,
announced today the promotion of Keith Davidson to Vice President -
Investments.
    According to Terry S. Brown, Chief Executive Officer, Davidson will assume
responsibilities for the Company's debt and capital transactions, and for the
acquisition and disposition of Company assets in the Southeast.

growth and expansion of the Company's portfolio of assets.  His promotion
reflects this contribution as well as the important role he will have in

    Davidson joined Edens & Avant as Director of Investments in 1999.  He has
more than 10 years experience in corporate finance in the commercial real
estate arena.  Immediately prior to Edens & Avant, Keith was with Aronov
Realty Management, Inc. in Montgomery, AL, where he served as senior analyst
for the company's development and acquisition ventures.
    A native of Panama City, FL, Davidson earned a Bachelor of Science degree
in Economics from Florida State University, and a Masters of Business
Administration from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC.  Edens & Avant is
