"Siggraph is an excellent venue for us to share the latest in memory
developments with the workstation and Macintosh(R) communities," said Liesl
Schwoebel, Product Marketing Manager, Kingston. "We support the widest
selection of workstations and servers in the industry, building memory to
support systems including Silicon Graphics(R), Sun(R), Hewlett-Packard(R),
IBM(R), Siemens(R), and Intergraph(R) -- to name a few. From the hottest
releases on the market, to legacy systems, we work closely with industry
leaders to deliver solutions that meet corporations' memory needs for today
and tomorrow."
Working together with companies including Apple, Corel(R), Minolta(R)-QMS,
Wacom(R) and Kingston's Peripheral Division for networking products, Kingston
will be highlighting the work of Digital Artist Jeremy Sutton during Siggraph
with portrait demonstrations of show attendees on the Apple G4 systems.
"This year at Siggraph we wanted to show real-world applications for these
high end systems, optimized with memory," continued Schwoebel. "Working
together with Apple, Corel, Minolta-QMS, Wacom and Mr. Sutton, we are
illustrating the difference between G4's with different memory capacities.
This demo showcases the increase in performance while working with digital
media which is gained by increasing memory capacity."
Siggraph show partners provided two Apple G4 systems, Corel Painter
software, a Minolta-QMS color printer, Wacom templates and styluses as well as
Kingston networking hardware to round out the items needed for the
demonstrations.
