ELSA(TM) Unveils Workstation Powerhouse GLoria III at SIGGRAPH International Computer Graphics Conference

ELSA and NVIDIA Partner to Deliver Real-Time Performance to Game Developers,
Film Animation Artists and Mechanical Designers

NEW ORLEANS, July 25 /PRNewswire/ -- ELSA, the leader in workstation
graphics acceleration, today at the SIGGRAPH trade show announced its
exclusive agreement with NVIDIA (Nasdaq: NVDA) to provide the next-generation
in its best-selling GLoria line of mid-range workstation graphics cards -- the
ELSA GLoria III. Based on NVIDIA's new Quadro2 Pro workstation solution,
Gloria III will power through mechanical design, film animation and game
content development with speed and realism like never before, processing
three times the number of triangles and textures than other boards in its
class.
"ELSA has tapped into its twenty years of workstation graphics expertise,"
stated Charles Watson, director of product marketing for ELSA, Inc. "By
combining our software application and platform knowledge with NVIDIA's
graphics processing power, GLoria III will allow designers to create models,
assemblies and animation in a fraction of time that equals more productivity
and reduced production costs."

    Unparalleled Application Performance
Building upon its resounding success with the GLoria II, ELSA's GLoria III
is designed to provide the hardware technology and software optimization for
unparalleled performance in OpenGL-based professional game development,
digital content creation and mechanical computer-aided design applications.
GLoria III will be loaded with graphics horsepower. Pumping
31 million triangles through its transform and lighting engine and filling
textures at a rate of one gigapixel per second (100 million/second), ELSA
GLoria III will be offering nearly twice the amount of the processing power of
the original, Quadro-based GLoria II. Its four pixel pipelines each handle
seven operations with two textures per pixel, per pipeline, per clock for
multi-texturing and other dramatic rendering effects. ELSA GLoria III is
highly scalable. Whether it is geometry processing, pixel filling, XY
resolution, pixel depths or monitor size, ELSA GLoria III maintains its
performance advantage.
Populated with 64MB of DDR frame buffer memory, the fastest available, and
a 350MHz RAMDAC, the Gloria III will support up to 50-inch CRT monitors and
21-inch DVI flatscreen monitors with resolutions as high 2048x1536 at 85Hz in
TrueColor.

    Professional Software Advantage
GLoria owners are provided with custom performance drivers and utilities
for today's most well-known development software: Autodesk's AutoCAD and
discreet's 3Dstudio MAX. In addition, ELSA has spent countless hours
developing drivers and testing product compatibility with a full host of
production software including: digital content creation applications such as
Adobe Photoshop, 3Dstudio MAX, SoftImage 3D, Lightwave 3D, Maya and XSI, and
M-CAD software including AutoCAD 2000, Pro/Engineer, IDEAS Master Series,
Microstation SE, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and Unigraphics.
"Lightwave 3D customers have come to expect a marked improvement in
performance when paired with ELSA's GLoria graphics accelerators," stated
Brad Peebler, President of Newtek Inc. "We are highly anticipating the
ability to perform advanced 3D development and editing in real time with the
new ELSA GLoria III."
The Gloria line is bundled with ELSA WINman Suite, a full offering of
ELSA custom software for complete monitor and application control, and a
leading software DVD player.

    Pricing & Availability
The ELSA GLoria IlI AGP 64MB is expected to ship in September. Also
announced today is the ELSA Synergy lll, an AGP 32MB workstation graphics
board featuring the NVIDIA Quadro 2 MXR GPU. Both boards support all leading
Windows platforms, including Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 and Windows
