In celebration of back-to-school this fall, OfficeMax(R) is rolling out new
school bags and accessories that light up, twist and play music.

president of merchandising. "OfficeMax is introducing new products for the
back-to-school season to help students do just that."
Some of OfficeMax's latest back-to-school backpacks and accessories

-- Electric Bungee(TM) Backpack adds pizzazz to the standard school bag
with lights that glow. The Electric Bungee(TM) by Access Bag N' Pack
is braided through the outside of the backpack's front mesh storage
pocket. An inside storage pouch and clip holds the bungee remote,
where students can set the lights to blink, stay on continuously, or
turn off. The backpack contains a main storage compartment, a front
zipper organizer pocket, padded back straps and a padded top carry
handle. Available exclusively at OfficeMax stores in red, silver,
cobalt blue and lavender.
-- Lightning Wheel(TM) Rolling Backpack provides the storage of regular
backpacks, the convenience of rolling wheels, and a retractable top
handle, with one added feature: wheels light up when rolling. From
Access Bag N' Pack, available in four colors.
-- Chompers(R) provide a fun way to keep students safe while walking to
and from school in the dark. Each Chompers by Garrity(R) animal is
about one inch tall, and with the press of a tab the mouth opens to
reveal a bright red LED light, which can be easily seen from a
distance. A durable key chain clips each Chompers to a backpack
strap. Available in eight animals, including frogs, tigers, pelicans
and dolphins.
-- Fun Lites(R) not only light up, but are interactive. Fun Lites by
Garrity(R) heart and smiley face figurines have bendable arms and
legs, and are topped with a bright red LED light that turns on with
the press of a button. Fun Lites contain a durable key chain that
hooks to a backpack strap.
-- Calculator Clipster and Radio Clipster are functional accessories with
built-in clips to hang from school bags so students won't lose them.
The Calculator Clipster offers an easy-to-read display and soft-touch
buttons for doing math work. The Radio Clipster is an FM scan radio
with stereo headphones, volume control and a built-in compass. Both
are from Smart Planet(TM) and are battery operated. The Calculator
Clipster is available in red, yellow, blue and black. The Radio
Clipster is available in red, blue, yellow and orange.
-- Fun-Tastick(R) Glow Lite(R) is a fashionable way to keep students safe
while walking to and from school. Unlike temporary glow sticks, the
7 1/2-inch long Fun-Tastick Glow Lite by Garrity(R) is battery
operated and is reusable. The Glow Lite has an on/off switch, a clip
to attach to backpacks and a breakaway cord to wear around the neck.
