HOUSTON, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Anadarko Petroleum Corporation
(NYSE: APC) today announced results from an exploratory well drilled from the
Company's East Cameron 157 production platform, located about 50 miles
offshore Louisiana. The East Cameron 157 "A-7" exploration well flowed
40 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) of gas and 1,129 barrels of condensate
per day (BCPD) with a flowing tubing pressure of 2,235 psi.
The A-7 well encountered new reserves that were fault-separated from the
main field reservoir. The reserves could not have been recovered with the
existing wellbores. There are currently seven producing wells in the Field
with platform production at 70 MMcf/d of gas and 1,700 BCPD.
Anadarko owns a 100-percent working interest in the East Cameron 157
platform.
