and CMP Media announced today they are discontinuing plans to produce
electronicaUSA. The premiere event, planned as a comprehensive industry event
that covered the entire spectrum of electronics technologies, had mixed
success. While there was strong interest from semiconductor, sensors and
power vendors, other sectors such as interconnect, passive and
electromechanical did not meet expectations.
CMP Media will continue to produce its successful Embedded Systems
Conference. It will include a technical program and exhibition of embedded
hardware and software. The 17th annual Embedded Systems Conference will be
held from 6 - 10 March 2005 in San Francisco. Information on the event is
