- The Palace Hotel, San Francisco, July 27th - July 29th, Booth# S308 & 309 -
BOCA RATON, Fla., July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Foreclosure.com, the most
comprehensive source of U.S. residential foreclosure listings, today announced
its participation in Inman's Real Estate Connect conference, July 27th - July
29th, in San Francisco, Calif. At the conference, Foreclosure.com will be
showcasing enhancements to its Web site that were developed to create a better
user experience, and increase the usability and effectiveness of the property
listings.
According to a report from Nielsen/NetRatings, real estate-related
Internet traffic reached 21.6 million users in April 2005, a 26 percent
increase from November 2004. "The needs and interests of these consumers vary
significantly; however, they are all interested in Web sites that provide them
with timely, accurate information that is easily accessible. Our goal, which
is evident in the innovations that we are showcasing at Real Estate Connect,
is not only to remain the most comprehensive resource for foreclosure and FSBO
listings, but also to offer a product that is streamlined, simple and secure,"
said Brad Geisen, president, Foreclosure.com.
The following enhancements to http://www.foreclosure.com will be on
display at Booth # S308 & 309 at Real Estate Connect:
Expanded Property Listings
Foreclosure.com now includes data about preforeclosure and bankruptcy
properties, in addition to the site's current foreclosed and For Sale By Owner
(FSBO) listings. Foreclosure.com offers the essential information that a
buyer needs to successfully purchase homes, including street address, seller
contact information, property details, tax roll information, previous sale and
appraisal information, and property photos. These combined listings provide
users with access to nearly 650,000 property listings that are updated daily.
New Value-Added Benefits for Subscribers
To further enhance the value of the Web site, Foreclosure.com has added
three significant services for its subscribers: free automated valuation
models (AVM), free comparable property sales information, and enriched tax
roll information. Other real estate sites deliver some of these features at
additional costs, but Foreclosure.com includes these tools at no extra charge
to its subscribers. AVMs use a repeat sales methodology to arrive at
residential property valuations after searching indexes constructed from
historical residential sales records on millions of properties. Separate
calculations include details on proximal properties and cost per square foot
per geographic area to arrive at a current market valuation. These
calculations provide the subscriber with an up-to-date estimated value for the
subject property. The comparable sales data details recent sales values of
other properties from surrounding areas. The enhanced tax roll information
offers official records of ownership data, prior sales of the subject
property, and the assessment of land and improvement by the local taxing
authorities, as well as additional physical details.
Increased Search Functionality
New search capabilities include: a power search feature, allowing users
to customize their search criteria to include all listings or to filter by
type of listing; a non-linear results page for improved search results
tracking that allows users to advance to the next listing without using the
back button; and the addition of tabs to the search results pages that
correspond to the search criteria.
Custom User Preferences
A "My Profile" section has also been added to the Web site to help users
access and update membership and preference information such as their
selection of automated listing alerts, membership, status, and payment
information.
