U.S. Department of Homeland Security Awards $42.2 Million Contract to SRA

    Company to Provide Strategy and Execution Support to DHS Office for
                     Interoperability and Compatibility

    FAIRFAX, Va., July 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA International, Inc.
(NYSE: SRX), a leading provider of technology and strategic consulting
services and solutions to federal government organizations, announced that
it has been awarded a competitive contract by the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) to provide strategy and execution support services
to the Office for Interoperability and Compatibility (OIC). The task order,
awarded under the General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule,
has an estimated value of $42.2 million over 45 months if all options are
exercised.
    DHS established OIC in 2004 to strengthen and integrate
interoperability and compatibility efforts to improve local, tribal, state,
and federal emergency preparedness and response. Key components of OIC
include the SAFECOM and Disaster Management (DM) programs. SAFECOM is
creating the capacity for increased levels of communications
interoperability. DM is enabling the secure and effective exchange of
incident-related data and information. Under this contract, the SRA
Touchstone Consulting Group (a strategic consulting practice within SRA
International, Inc.) will provide a broad range of program management
support, including communications and outreach activities, legislative and
budget analysis, stakeholder coordination, strategy development, and
standards and requirements development and acceleration. The SRA team
includes CSR Incorporated; G&H International Services, Inc.; Highlands
Consulting Group, LLC; R.H Wohl & Associates; and SogomiSet, LLC.
