SAN FRANCISCO, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Marking 25 years of service to San
Francisco, the good guys! (Nasdaq: GGUY) will re-open its Stonestown store on
Thursday, August 13. The newly-remodeled store will open with the newest and
hottest format in consumer electronics retailing -- AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION.
The 25th anniversary celebration will continue throughout the year with the
opening of additional remodels and new stores in the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION
format.
the good guys! opened its first store in 1973 in San Francisco and has
been based in the Bay Area ever since. The store will become the seventh
AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION and the first in San Francisco. The store will
increase from 18,000 sq. ft. to over 30,000 sq. ft. The Stonestown store
follows two other Bay Area stores in Hayward and Concord (which opens
July 30).
"Transforming a store into the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION format is an
extensive project. We completely renovated this store from floor-to-ceiling
in just three months," said Robert Gunst, President and Chief Executive
Officer. "We know customers will be extremely pleased with this exciting new
concept."
AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION stores are designed to be "user friendly." Within
the non-traditional environment of the store are EXPO rooms that demonstrate
home theater systems, multi-room systems, Internet, and the newest in digital
entertainment.
The central service area of the AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION store is an open
room of chairs and coffee tables. It's here that broadly-trained sales
specialists help customers draw up personalized blueprints of home
entertainment systems.
The AUDIO/VIDEO EXPOSITION Stonestown store, featuring wide-open spaces, a
soft color palette, pale hardwood floors and clear easy-to-read signage, is
located at 3201 20th Avenue in San Francisco.
