Details: GOVSEC, U.S. LAW, and READY! are three co-located conferences
addressing one of today's most relevant topics: homeland
security. This week, these three conferences are bringing
thousands of government security, law enforcement, and emergency
management professionals and first responders to Washington, D.C.
to discuss matters important to our country's homeland security
and defense.
In addition to the highlights listed below, GOVSEC, U.S. LAW, and
READY! will host over fifty educational sessions addressing all
facets of homeland security, law enforcement, and first response;
including sessions facilitated by representatives from the
Department of Homeland Security, addressing NIMS and the National
Response Plan, our country's new emergency response plan.

10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. EXPO Hall opens. The combined GOVSEC, U.S. LAW, and
READY! Exposition Hall features over 500 industry leaders showcasing the
latest products and services used by government security, law
enforcement, and emergency response professionals.
10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The LEOPARD Challenge, also known as the Law
Enforcement Officer Performance and Reaction Drill.
12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. Colonel Edward Badolato, USMC (Ret) will deliver
"Taking the Terror Out of Terrorism: A Blueprint for Defeating
Terrorism."
1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Dr. David Kay, former Special Advisor on Iraqi
Weapons of Mass Destruction to the Director of Central Intelligence
delivers "The New Threats to U.S. Security: Can We Meet Them?"
2:00-3:00 p.m. The National Terrorism Preparedness Institute of St.
Petersburg College will present Live Response: "Coordination of
Intelligence Collection," a 60-minute discussion of how to collect and
share intelligence information for improving homeland security, broadcast
from the GOVSEC Exhibit Hall.

8:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. The President's Information Technology Advisory
Committee (PITAC) Subcommittee on Cyber Security will hold a Town Hall
Meeting to gather information on what the public thinks about U.S.
investments in cyber security research and development
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The LEOPARD Challenge.
10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. Exposition Hall open
12:00p.m.- 1:00 p.m. Profiles in Innovation Awards Presentation. These
awards honor top government and industry leaders, programs and
organizations from the security, law enforcement and emergency
preparedness & response fields.
12:00p.m.- 1:00 p.m. Common Criteria certificate presentation by the
Director of the Common Criteria Evaluation and Validation Scheme (CCEVS)
Validation Body.
1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Closing Keynote Speech given by Asa Hutchinson,
Under Secretary, Border and Transportation Security for the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security.
