PONTIAC, Mich., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The GLIMA Network, Automation
Alley's association of interactive professionals, is accepting nominations for
its Interactive Community Excellence (ICE) Awards. The competition recognizes
superior Web sites designed and developed by GLIMA and Automation Alley
members.
"We feel it's important to recognize the people who go above and beyond
since Web sites are such a powerful communication tool," said Phil Bertolini,
director of GLIMA. "The ICE awards are a great opportunity to showcase the
technical and creative talent in Michigan."
Entries will be evaluated on criteria specified in five categories: best
user-friendly, best interactive, best commerce, most innovative and special
recognition.
To qualify for the competition, the Web site must have been launched after
January 2003. Web sites designed by GLIMA and Automation Alley members may
have been developed for clients. Nominations are due Aug. 3 and can be
submitted through an online form on the GLIMA Web site
(http://www.glima.org ).
The awards ceremony will be held Aug. 16 at GLIMA's First Annual Member
Event in Grand Rapids, Mich. Registration is open for the two-day event
featuring a golf outing at Boulder Creek Golf Club, Tech 5:01 seminar at Grand
Rapids Brewing Company and keynote address and workshops at the Holiday Inn
