Seenex Forms Alliance With Syft Technologies

Seenex Will Integrate Syft's Explosive Detection Technology
With its Critical Infrastructure Security Solution

    WASHINGTON, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- (GOVSEC, booth #3624) -- Seenex LLC, a
provider of a proven platform for integrated security products and service
solutions, announced today that it has formed an alliance with Syft
Technologies, a New Zealand-based company that develops and markets Selected
Ion Flow Tube Mass Spectrometry (SIFT-MS) products and services. This
partnership will enable the integration of Syft's innovative explosive trace
detection technology with Seenex's established platform of security access
control solutions.
Syft's mass spectrometry technology has been under development for over 20
years. It represents a new approach to delivering real-time, high accuracy
measurements of trace compounds in complex gas mixtures. By integrating SIFT-
MS with Seenex's security solutions, the SIFT-MS system will take a minute
sample of air as a person passes through a Seenex security portal and measure
the presence of trace elements of explosives or other substances.
According to a study conducted by the National Academy of Sciences
"security advantages accrue directly from (the features of MS), including
faster diagnosis of potential threats, greater capability for detecting new
threat species, and improved instrument performance -- especially under
unfavorable background conditions."
"Syft's mass spectrometry technology is leading the way in the explosive
trace detectors arena," said Paul Milone, co-founder and CEO of Seenex. "We
are looking for the most advanced and reliable technologies to offer our
clients. SIFT-MS is a perfect explosive detection solution to be integrated
with our proven platform of access control portal systems and other value-
added advanced security technologies."
"Seenex's critical infrastructure security platform is a logical fit for
our SIFT-MS technology," said Geoff Peck, COO at Syft. "Seenex's integrated
security solution enables organizations to work with one security company for
a robust, end-to-end security solution to meet their mission-critical security
needs. We are looking forward to implementing our joint solutions to help
protect both government and commercial organizations around the world."
Seenex continues to build an innovative network of products and services
for the expanding security market in North America. It has already partnered
with industry leaders Tonali, an Italian manufacturer of advanced security
portal systems; Diebold, a global leader in self-service delivery systems,
security and services to the financial, government, retail and commercial
markets headquartered in Canton, Ohio; and Sun-Lite, a Washington, D.C.-based
architectural security products design and construction company.
