Two-Day GovernmentVideo Conference Program Convenes During
GVExpo, November 30-December 1 at Washington DC Convention Center
NEW YORK, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- With over 25 sessions presented in
interest-specific tracks, this year's GovernmentVideo Conference Program
features sessions designed to help government video professionals efficiently
and effectively create dynamic productions. The two-day conference,
"Leveraging Technology for Maximum ROI" is being held during Government Video
& Technology Expo (GVExpo), November 30-December 1 at the Washington DC
Convention Center.
"This year's conference program brings together the elements that
government video professionals need to succeed during times of tight budgets,"
said Michael Silbergleid, conference chair of the GovernmentVideo Conference
Program. "By offering tracks in production techniques, digital media
workflow, storage, and asset management, our attendees can learn the best ways
to deal with the issues that affect them in their facility or in the field,
with an eye toward return on investment and total cost of ownership."
The conference kicks off at 10:30 a.m. on November 30 with a Keynote
Address highlighting law enforcement technologies: "In-Car Video: The Digital
Dilemma" will be presented by Mike Fergus, technical assistance coordinator
for the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), and president of
the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services (LEVA).
Over the course of the two days, conference registrants will have their
choice of sessions within several special interest groupings:
* Streaming/Workflow Track
* AV/IT Systems Track
* Production Track
* Law Enforcement Track
* Managing & Storing Digital Assets Track
* Case Studies Series
"We have very targeted sessions to help our attendees leverage technology
and improve their productivity," added Mark J. Pescatore, executive conference
chair. "From digital signage discussions to networking opportunities with
federal government video producers, our sessions offer valuable information
from industry experts that video professionals need."
With the GVExpo Exhibit Hall featuring two new specialty areas, The
Digital Signage Zone and The Collaborative Communications Solutions Center,
the conference planners have integrated related topics into the program as
well. Within the AV/IT Systems Track, both "Collaborative Conferencing and
Homeland Security" and "Digital Signage Solutions" sessions will be held on
November 30.
Complimenting the main GovernmentVideo Conference Program is Tech Focus
Forum which will be held in the GVExpo exhibit hall. Through these free
educational sessions, GVExpo exhibitors will provide in-depth discussions
about some of the hottest technologies.
Now in its eighth year, GVExpo is the premier government video, broadcast,
AV, and multimedia event, and is sponsored by the publisher of GovernmentVideo
and Videography magazines, CMP Media. The three-day event includes a show
floor featuring more than 300 exhibitors, plus educational sessions, hands-on
demonstrations, the Digital Signage Zone, the Collaborative Communications
Solutions Center, and two separate conferences, the GovernmentVideo Conference
Program and DigitalMediaDC (DMDC). Admission to the GVExpo exhibit hall and
in-hall educational sessions including the Keynote Address and Tech Focus
Forum is free for registered attendees. The two conference programs require
