will donate $4,000 to Friends for Sight, a Utah-based charitable
organization that provides eye screenings and preventative programs
throughout the state. The money was partially raised from proceeds of the
2008 1-800 CONTACTS 5k/10k Challenge, held June 21 in Salt Lake City's
Sugar House Park and the adjoining neighborhoods near the Salt Lake Country
Club.

manager, said the donation, "Represents our enthusiastic support for the
tremendous contribution Friends for Sight is making to thousands in our

Colleen Malouf, CEO of Friends for Sight, said the money will be used
to provide vision screenings for family and children in need.
The race attracted more than 250 runners. Cash prizes were given to the
top finishers in the women's, men's and master's categories. The three top
racers in every age category received Olympic-sized medals with ribbons.
