    Details:   While Democrats in Boston Discuss the Importance of Homeland
               Security, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Preparedness;
               Approximately 10,000 Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, and
               Emergency Management Professionals Meet in Washington, D.C.

               GOVSEC, U.S. LAW, and READY! are three co-located conferences
               addressing one of today's most relevant topics: homeland
               security.  This week, these three conferences are bringing
               thousands of government security, law enforcement, and
               emergency management professionals and first responders to
               Washington, D.C. to discuss matters important to our country's
               homeland security and defense.

               In addition to the highlights listed below, GOVSEC, U.S. LAW,
               and READY! will host over fifty educational sessions addressing
               all facets of homeland security, law enforcement, and first
               response; including sessions facilitated by representatives
               from the Department of Homeland Security, addressing NIMS and

Committee (PITAC) Subcommittee on Cyber Security will hold a Town Hall Meeting
to gather information on what the public thinks about U.S. investments in
cyber security research and development

    10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. The LEOPARD Challenge.

    The Law Enforcement Officer Performance and Reaction Drill, referred to as
the LEOPARD Challenge, is open to all U.S. LAW, GOVSEC and READY! attendees.
Racing against the clock and each other, officers sequentially negotiate an
obstacle course of linked policing tasks, including laser-shooting scenarios.

    1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Closing Keynote Speech given by Asa Hutchinson, Under
Secretary, Border and Transportation Security for the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security.  Under Secretary Hutchinson will discuss the Department of
Homeland Security's National Response Plan (NRP) and National Incident
Management System (NIMS).  These recently-established initiatives prescribe
emergency response protocols for federal, state, and local governments in
their efforts to manage natural and manmade disasters.
