DUSSELDORF, Germany, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- REHACARE INTERNATIONAL
2008, International Trade Fair and Congress Rehabilitation, Care,
Prevention and Integration, will be staged at the fairgrounds in
Dusseldorf, Germany from October 15 - 18, 2008. The trade fair will be a
platform for some 800 exhibitors from 30 nations and about 45,000 visitors
from all over the world. On over 323,000 square feet of net exhibit space,
exhibitors will present a comprehensive range of the latest products and
services in the following categories: mobility and daily living aids,
assistive devices for in-patient and out-patient care, communication
technologies and barrier-free living concepts as well as recreation, travel
and sports.

walking aids, adapted vehicles and the related services will be present
this year at REHACARE with a wide product portfolio. Among them will be
Otto Bock, Handicare, Invacare, Meyra, Sunrise Medical, Permobil, Bischoff

buyers, trade visitors from the rehabilitation and care industry as well as
individuals with special needs or those requiring care and their families
with an overview of innovations and developments concerning all aspects of

Several theme parks at REHACARE INTERNATIONAL 2008 will feature target
group specific solutions. Barrier-free and cross-generation building and
living will be the topic of the "living dream" theme park and the congress
of the same name held on October 16 and 17. The congress will discuss
technical support systems for providing care in the home and living
environments of the elderly.
Hall 5 will present electronic assistive devices, special software,
electronic data processing and innovations for the blind or visually
impaired as well as for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Vehicles
adapted for those with special needs can be viewed in Hall 6. Hall 7a will
be dedicated to sports for people with special needs.
New at REHACARE INTERNATIONAL 2008 will be the industry competition
"REHACARE DESIGN AWARD 2008/2009." red dot projects will be responsible for
the organization and supervision of the competition. All REHACARE
INTERNATIONAL 2008 exhibitors are invited to submit products in eight
categories, which will be evaluated by a jury comprising international
design and industry experts. Compelling design and creative drive will be
rewarded with the "REHACARE DESIGN AWARD: GOOD DESIGN" or "REHACARE DESIGN
AWARD: BEST DESIGN," while especially innovative products will be
recognized with the "REHACARE DESIGN AWARD: BEST INNOVATION." All
award-winning products will be showcased at a special presentation during
the trade fair as well as on a dedicated Internet portal and will
subsequently be published in an international industry handbook.
