Four Lucky Customers Will Win $25,000 Each in Price-Impact Supermarket Chain's
                 13th Annual Anniversary Sweepstakes Contest

    LOS ANGELES, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- This August there will be 100,000 new
reasons to shop at Food 4 Less.
    That's because four lucky Food 4 Less customers will win $25,000 each as
part of Food 4 Less' 13th Anniversary $100,000 Giveaway Sweepstakes event.
Starting Wednesday, August 1 and continuing through Tuesday, August 28, one
Food 4 Less customer a week will win $25,000.
    Shoppers can enter the sweepstakes contest simply by filling out a
"13th Anniversary Sweepstakes" entry form.  No purchases are required and
there are no limits as to how many times a person may enter the contest.
Entry forms are available at all Food 4 Less stores in Southern California and
Las Vegas, and at all Foods Co stores in Central and Northern California.

quality every day.  Our $100,000 Giveaway offers us an opportunity to reward
our customers not only with our everyday low prices, but also with the chance

    The $100,000 Giveaway is part of Food 4 Less' month-long 13th anniversary
celebration thanking customers for their support.  Throughout August, shoppers
will enjoy extra savings and special offers on thousands of the items they buy
most at Food 4 Less.
    In previous Food 4 Less Anniversary Giveaways, customers have won trips,
cars and cash totaling nearly half-a-million dollars.
