announced that it will conduct a conference call and live audio webcast at
8:30 a.m. EDT on Friday, August 3, to discuss second quarter 2001 results.
Aviron will broadcast the conference call on its Web site at
http://www.aviron.com. Participants should allow approximately five minutes prior to
the call's start time to visit the site and download any streaming media
software needed to listen to the Internet broadcast. An online archive of the
broadcast will be available approximately four hours following the live call
until 5:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 7, 2001.
Aviron expects to report second quarter 2001 results after the close of
U.S. financial markets on Thursday, August 2, 2001.
