RESTON, Va., July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has been
awarded a contract from Harris Corporation to provide installation and
integration services to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) under its
recently awarded FAA Telecommunications Infrastructure (FTI) contract. The
potential value to Raytheon of the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity
subcontract is approximately $97 million, including options.
The FTI program will integrate and modernize the FAA's telecommunications
infrastructure -- which will offer a wide range of voice, data and video
telecommunications services to support critical air traffic control
requirements -- at more than 5,000 FAA facilities throughout the United
States.
Under the contract, Raytheon Technical Services Company (RTSC) will
provide management support, engineering support and field technical services
for installation, testing and maintenance of equipment at FAA facilities
nationwide. RTSC will conduct site surveys, perform site design and implement,
verify and maintain equipment.
