LEXINGTON, Mass., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raytheon Company
(NYSE: RTN) has delivered the Fore River power plant in Weymouth, Mass., to
its owner, Exelon Fore River Development LLC, for commercial operation after
successfully completing certain performance and reliability tests. As a
result, care, custody and operational control of the facility, and risk of
loss of the facility has transferred to the owner effective as of July 29,
2003, and the project has moved into final stages of completion.
The Fore River power plant is the second project that Raytheon has
delivered to Exelon entities in recent months. Raytheon delivered Mystic
Blocks 8 and 9 in Everett, Mass., to Exelon Mystic Development LLC in April
and June of 2003, respectively. Upon delivery, the Mystic power plant project
also entered the final stages of completion.
