Customers and Peers Select Air Products' BSGS in Materials Improvement

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa., July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Air Products
(NYSE: APD) recently won the Materials Improvement award from EuroAsia
Semiconductor magazine for its Bulk Specialty Gas Systems (BSGS). The
award, which was voted on by customers and peers, was presented at San
Francisco's Museum of Modern Art during SEMICON West 2006.
BSGS provides a step change in the supply of high-volume specialty
gases for semiconductor manufacturers by improving product consistency and
reliability, as well as manufacturing productivity. Employee and facility
safety also receive a boost thanks to a reduced number of cylinder changes.
For device manufacturers who are using high volumes of specialty gases,
the BSGS offers better flow, improved cost savings and product
dependability. Air Products is the leader in providing BSGS technology to
customers around the world with more systems installed than all competitors
combined.
Accepting on behalf of Air Products was Bob Ford, bulk specialty gases
supply manager, who noted, "It is an honor to receive this award as
recognized by our customers as the premier solutions provider of bulk
specialty gas supply."
