Detroit Diesel's Series 60(R) Rates No. 2 on '10 Best Diesel Engines Ever' List

             Publication Gives Kudos to Industry-Leading Engine

    DETROIT, July 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit Diesel Corporation's flagship
Series 60 heavy-duty diesel engine was recently recognized by Diesel Power
Magazine as the No. 2 ranked "Best Diesel Engine Ever" on a list compiled
by the publication. The No. 1 ranking went to Rudolph Diesel's first
working diesel engine. Rudolph Diesel is considered the "father" of the
modern diesel engine.

has been North America's most popular heavy-duty on-highway diesel engine.
