Program Utilizes Simple Cut-and-Paste Code That Links Users to RealtyTrac's
Real-Time Foreclosure Data
SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- INMAN REAL ESTATE CONNECT --
RealtyTrac(R) (http://www.realtytrac.com), the leading online marketplace
for foreclosure properties, today announced a new and exciting feature
called RealtyTrac DataLink(TM), which allows users to easily display a
fully functional foreclosure search application on their own website by
simply cutting and pasting code generated by RealtyTrac. The search
application pulls real-time data directly from RealtyTrac's nationwide
foreclosure database.
RealtyTrac publishes the largest and most comprehensive national
database of foreclosure and bank-owned properties, with over 1 million
properties from nearly 2,500 counties across the country, and is the
foreclosure data provider to MSN Real Estate, Yahoo! Real Estate and The
Wall Street Journal's Real Estate Journal.
"DataLink is an exciting product that further democratizes our
foreclosure data by allowing any website to easily give their users access
to hundreds of thousands of foreclosure properties across the country,"
said James J. Saccacio, chief executive officer of RealtyTrac. "Not only
will DataLink help sites provide a valuable service to their visitors, it
will allow them to generate revenue when any of their visitors subscribe to
RealtyTrac."
DataLink is simple and easy to use, and can be set up in three easy
steps. First one of two search images -- either a U.S. map with a zip code
search or a U.S. map without a zip code search -- is selected. Second, a
unique ID is entered by clicking a "Generate Code" icon. Finally, this code
is copied and pasted into a website's HTML code.
"We are excited about the opportunity to team up with RealtyTrac to
provide consumers with the opportunity to access foreclosure listing in
such an easy and informative way," said Steve Nickerson, president of
HomeRoute. "Consumers now have unlimited opportunities to find the home of
their dreams and at a fraction of the cost."
