TRUEBeginnings(TM) Research Reveals That More Than 70 Percent of Singles Are Ready to Commit to Love

Nationwide Study Around 'Single Parents Day' Shows That Having Children Plays
A Minor Role in Decision Process; Readiness to Commit Increases With Age

DALLAS, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Honoring national "Single Parents Day"
this coming Sunday, March 21, TRUEBeginnings(TM), a new kind of online
relationship service that takes the time-consuming guesswork out of online
dating by providing a smarter, more scientific approach to compatibility,
today revealed that 71.2 percent of today's singles are ready to commit to
love again.
Based on a survey of 36,000 single men and women, of which more than
6,200 respondents were single mothers and about 3,700 were single fathers, the
study concluded the following:

     * Having children plays a minor role in the decision -- Single women
with children are more willing to commit to a relationship
(76 percent) than are those women without children (74 percent), while

single men with children are just as willing to commit (67 percent) as

        those without children (67 percent).
     * Readiness to commit increases with age -- More than 84 percent of
singles who are at least 31 years of age or older are ready to commit
to a new relationship, while only 61 percent of singles below the age
        of 31 are ready.
     * Men are slightly less likely to be ready to commit again than women --

More than 76 percent of single women are ready to commit again, while
only 67 percent of single men are ready to take a new step.

"While we aren't surprised to find that singles want to engage in loving
and lasting romantic relationships, we are surprised at how many respondents
are ready and willing to take that next step," said Dr. James Houran, Director
of Psychological Studies at TRUEBeginnings and a 14-year veteran in the field
of research and clinical psychology. "We're also surprised to find that
children play a minor role in a single's decision to date. While our survey
didn't reveal the specific reasons behind this, we believe that online dating
has enabled singles to be much more selective about who they bring into their
lives and the lives of their children, especially through services like ours
that conduct criminal background screening on all communicating members. In
addition to security, we also offer the most comprehensive personality and
matchmaking test available today, helping our members immediately narrow the
playing field down to people that they'll be most compatible with."
