Ranked Number One Supplier Of Outdoor Wireless Enhancement Solutions And
Antennas For China Mobile's National Network Enhancement Project In China
HONG KONG, Aug. 4 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Comba Telecom Systems ("Comba",
HKG Code: 2342.hk) announced today that it has been selected as a premier
supplier of wireless equipment for China Mobile Communications Corporation
("China Mobile"). China Mobile is currently undergoing a nationwide outdoor
network enhancement project and has therefore implemented a centralized
procurement program in order to realize efficiencies and source quality
suppliers specifically for this project.
Under the terms of the procurement program, Comba has been identified from
over 40 suppliers as the number one supplier in two key categories; wireless
enhancement solutions and antennas. For the first phase of its outdoor
network enhancement project, China Mobile's procurement program will source at
least 3,000 and 30,000 pieces of outdoor wireless enhancement products and
antennas respectively from vendors. Comba will therefore be a key supplier of
RF repeaters, optical repeaters, frequency shifting repeaters as well as a
comprehensive range of advanced antennas for both the national and provincial
units of China Mobile.
By implementing a centralized procurement program, China Mobile aims to
further boost its transparency in its supplier selection processes. The
program also identifies best-of-breed suppliers meeting stringent criteria of:
quality, product performance, support, track record and cost-effectiveness.
This will therefore help drive long-term supplier relationships, operational
and cost efficiencies.
