release of its debut product - Hebbian Recall, utilizing activation based
ranking technology to improve relevance of desktop search results by mimicking
human memory processes.

Most existing desktop search engines rank and sort results based on
keyword matching or by modification date. This is by no means similar to
human natural recall process. When people are presented with keywords and
asked to recall documents based on those keywords, their results will not be
based on the frequency of those words occurring in the documents, nor the
modification dates. Instead, they will rank documents based on how useful a
document was to them, how much effort they spent on it, and when they last
worked on it. All of these factors merge together to form what human memory
researchers refer to as "activation."
By leveraging advanced research findings in human memory studies and
human-computer interactions, Hebbian Inc. has developed activation based
ranking, a technology for ranking digital contents such as documents, emails,
visited web pages and media files etc.
Hebbian Recall is the first application demonstrating activation based
ranking technology. Learning from a user's day-to-day activities, Hebbian
